Arthritis of the Acromioclavicular Joint

It is an irreversible damage to the small shoulder joint, which connects the key to the tip. It is a very progressive disease that is not treated with conservative measures.

Its treatment consists of arthroscopic resection of the peripheral end of the key.

The operation is performed using a camera and application of 2-3 very small incisions of 5-7 mm each, during which a very small part of the key is removed while at the same time cleaning is done from the inflammatory elements of the joint.

After the patient leaves the operating room, minimal or no analgesia is required as well as prophylactic antibiotic treatment. The mobilization of the hand is immediate.
